500W Military DC/DC Power Supply, Cooled Base Plate

ETA-USA designs and develops custom Ship-Board power supplies for military mission-critical applications. We specilize in providing custom power supplies that meet MIL STD 461, MIL STD 704, MIL STD 819, MIL STD 901, MIL STD 1275, & MIL STD 1399. Our designs meet stringent temperature, efficiency, shock and vibration requirements required for Ship-Board applications.

Our initial approach is to use a pre-qualified, isolated front-end and integrating it with a pre-designed output section providing a complete power solution. The major advantage of this approach is that it expedites the prototype process and mitigates the risk of repeating expensive qualification testing during prototyping.

Benefits of our Conventional Design Approach
. Lower Cost NRE to develop a customized power supply
. Shortens lead-time for prototype sample delivery
. Reduces the risk associated with the creation of a new design and the production development

Our purpose is to offer a viable power solution alternative that meets the primary need to be in compliance with ML-STD-461, MIL-STD-704, MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-901, MIL-STD-1275, & MIL-STD-1399 specifications

Ship Board Power Supply Compliance Design Parameters:
specifications:

  • MIL-STD-704 ( Aircraft)
  • MIL-STD-1275 (Ground Vehicle)
  • MIL-STD-1399 (Shipboard)

Power Supplies meet typical environment, EMI, and shock requirements such as:

  • MIL-STD-810 (Environmental Test Methods)
  • MIL-STD-461 (EMI)
  • MIL-STD-901 (High Impact Shock)

For those unique applications that require a full custom approach, our engineers cans design a completely new power supply from a specification or print.
ETA-USA has developed MIL-STD power supplies for LRU units powering Ship Board instrumentation, sonar, telemetry, communications, gun stabilization systems, cockpit displays, radar and peripheral equipment. The majority of military vehicles run on a 28VDC “bus”, including aircraft and missiles. The latest aircraft and helicopters are using 270VDC as the primary power. The military requires power supply manufacturers to conform to quality and workmanship standards – MIL-E, MIL-I, MIL-Q, &DOD-STD’s. ETA-USA offers a variety of outputs, inputs, power ranges, and packages to conform to any military standard or requirements.
